about

Debut single from new London reggae collective, featuring one of Jamaica's most treasured voices, Donald "Tabby" Shaw, of The Mighty Diamonds.

The track will be the first single from London based Time Of Confusion, a collective of players, singers and producers based out of
both the internationally recognised Total Refreshment Centre and its next door neighbor and predecessor, the Caribbean social club, Mellow Mix.

Recorded between London, Jamaica and Los Angeles, the project features Big Youth, Fred Locks, Cornell Campbell, and Linval Thompson (as well as Tabby Diamond), each reworking both modern
and classic soul tracks.

Taking on songs from rising soul stars such Michael Kiwanuka and Durrand
Jones and The Indications, as well as the iconic Marvin Gaye; the albums hopes to reintroduce the lost art of interpreting soul as reggae.
Created with the aim of maintaining and reaffirming links between London, England and Kingston,Jamaica; the album was created in London and recorded at The Total Refreshment Centre in Hackney - before being hand delivered to and vocalled in Anchor Recordings, Small World Studios
and Caveman Studios in Kingston - and finally, making its way into the hands of a gospel choir in Los Angeles.

The single marks one of only a handful of times that Tabby has recorded without the other two 'Diamonds, in an iconic career that spans over 50 years. Originally recorded by Charles Bradley for Daptones Records in 2011, The World (Is Going Up In Flames) quickly established both artist and label as serious musical forces.

"From the moment I hear that track, I connect with it and understand that pain. The lyrics are so simple but so relevant, now more than ever” says Tabby.

The video was shot in Waterhouse, a downtown neighbourhood of Kingston and Tabby's home since birth. It features four generations of his family and celebrates the power of love in the community.
Directed by Milagros De La Torre on the last night of recording the album in Jamaica, it's a portrait of the simple pleasures found in everyday life, in spite of trying times.

"I wanted to pay homage to that emotion he (Charles Bradley) stirs, with my own interpretation. It's in tribute to him as well as the next generation, the ones who must prevail"

Pre-order digital from Friday February 14th. Available on all digital stores on Friday February 28th.
